Trowse Wildflower Meadow
A large field beside the river noted for its wildflowers, but offering some dragonfly interest.
Directions
From the County Hall roundabout, enter Trowse over the railway bridge and continue till you reach the bend. Take the turn into Whitlingham lane to the left, just by the village sign. You can usually park on the side of the road here. The entrence to the flower meadow is just next to the village sign, through a kissing gate.
Tour
A circular path leads you around the central meadow. The first half beside the river should give Banded Demoiselles, Common Darters, Common Blue and Blue-tailed damselflies, while the meadow itself may turn up Southern and Migrant hawkers. Look out for the kingfisher that regularly hunts here, while the meadow may yield various finches and buntings.

Just across the road is the Trowse Church LNR (gate to the left of the church), while 60yds down Whitlingham lane is Trowse Wood. Walk back towards County Hall to enter the damselfly walk to Lakenham.
