North Tuddenham Common

A small but rich site, predominantly oak woodland with scrub and a small pond. As well as dragonflies, look for green and purple hairstreak butterflies. Also fungi in the Autumn, deer and a good selection of woodland birds.

Directions

From the A47, turn onto the B1110 about 13 miles from Norwich (Signposted North Tuddenham). On coming off the A47 (and crossing over it if you're coming from Norwich) turn left towards North Tuddenham, but before you reach the village turn right into Pound Lane. Follow this down until you see a mud track to your left. This is the entrance, and you may park on the verge.

Tour

Walking down the track will bring you to three paths, just where the information board is. Take the left hand path and follow this round to reach the pond.
